Job Advert: Nursery Room Supervisor at Stretton Sugwas C of E Academy

 

Position: Nursery Room Supervisor
Salary: NJC – 04HC SCP 06
Contract Type: Permanent variable hours 36.25 hours a week (min 18.25 hours, maximum 36.25 hours)
Reporting To: Nursery Manager

Stretton Sugwas C of E Academy is seeking a dedicated and skilled Nursery Room Supervisor to lead the day‑to‑day organisation and high‑quality practice within our Nursery. This role suits an experienced practitioner who can inspire others, maintain excellent standards of care and learning, and create a nurturing environment for young children.

The Role:

• Lead and support Nursery staff, modelling high‑quality early years practice.

• Oversee planning, assessment and delivery of the EYFS curriculum.

• Ensure safe, stimulating and inclusive indoor/outdoor learning environments.

• Maintain safeguarding standards and accurate record‑keeping.

• Support SEND inclusion and work with the SENCo and external professionals.

• Build positive relationships with parents and carers.

• Lead daily routines, manage key worker groups and maintain registers.

Job Advert: Teaching Assistant Level 2 at Stretton Sugwas CofE Academy
 

Position: Teaching Assistant Level 2

Hours: 26.5 hours a week (Monday to Friday 08.45am to 3.15pm term time only,

plus 2.5 hours of lunchtime supervision per week

Salary: TA L2 03HC SCP 04 (£) Lunchtime supervisor 02HC SCP03 (£)

Contract type: Permanent variable (min 13.5 hours per week, max 26.5 hours a week)

Reporting to: Headteacher

 

We are looking to appoint a dedicated and supportive Teaching Assistant (Level 2) to join our committed team at Stretton Sugwas CofE Academy.

 

The role:

  • Supporting the education, care and welfare of children under the guidance of the class teacher

  • Assisting in the preparation of resources and supporting group activities in and out of the classroom

  • Promoting positive behaviour and reinforcing pupils’ self-esteem

  • Helping children to access the curriculum and make good progress in a nurturing environment

 

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience of working with children (upper key stage 2 is desirable but not essential)

  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills and a caring, supportive approach

  • Work effectively as part of a team to deliver high-quality provision

  • Be committed to supporting an inclusive school ethos

  • Be willing to undertake relevant training

  • Be subject to an enhanced DBS check
